Description
This MRCOOL DIY 5th Gen Mini Split pairs a 55,000 BTU outdoor condenser with four ceiling cassette air handlers (18K + 18K + 6K + 6K BTU) for a rated system coverage of up to 2,290 sq. ft. Pre-charged Quick-Connect line sets filled with R-454B refrigerant let the installation skip the evacuation and vacuuming steps, so the system is designed to be installed without hiring a licensed HVAC technician.
Highlights
- DIY-only installation: pre-charged Quick-Connect line sets (R-454B refrigerant) skip the evacuation and vacuuming steps, and the included DIYPro cable removes the need for electrical conduit.
- Low-profile ceiling cassette design fits flush between 16" ceiling joists (including pre-manufactured I-joists), for multi-zone or single-zone layouts without added ductwork or wall space.
- Two-stage DC motor and advanced filtration support quiet operation, and the Elevation function lowers the filter panel for easier cleaning.
- Full control from the included wireless remote, the SmartHVAC app (iOS/Android), or voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
- Backed by a 5-year parts warranty, a 7-year compressor warranty, and a Limited Lifetime Replacement warranty through the MRCOOL Care Program.
Details
Avermont Direct is an authorized MRCOOL dealer, and this 4-zone DIY mini split system is backed by MRCOOL's 5-year parts warranty and 7-year compressor warranty (extendable to a Limited Lifetime Replacement warranty through the MRCOOL Care Program). It's a practical option for heating and cooling up to four separate rooms — bedrooms, an addition, or a finished basement — from a single outdoor condenser, without opening walls for ductwork or hiring a professional installer.
