Description
This MRCOOL DIY 5th Gen 3-zone ductless mini-split system pairs an 18,000 BTU condenser with 6,000 BTU, 6,000 BTU, 6,000 BTU ceiling cassette air handlers, giving you independent heating and cooling in three rooms without hiring an HVAC professional. The condenser reaches a SEER2 rating of up to 23.9 and an HSPF2-4 rating of up to 10, and installs using pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets filled with R-454B refrigerant.
Highlights
- DIY installation with no HVAC professional required — pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets (filled with R-454B refrigerant) eliminate the need for vacuuming, and the included DIYPro® cable removes the need for electrical conduit.
- This condenser supports up to 3 air handlers with a combined coverage area of up to 750 sq ft, and this configuration pairs it with three ceiling cassette zones (6,000 BTU, 6,000 BTU, 6,000 BTU).
- Control the system with the included wireless remote, the SmartHVAC app (iOS/Android), or voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
- The Follow Me® function tracks the temperature near the remote in each zone to help keep comfort consistent.
- Low-profile ceiling cassette air handlers fit between 16” ceiling joists (including pre-manufactured I-joists) for a flush, discreet installation, with a two-stage DC motor, swing technology, and an Elevation panel that lowers for easy filter access.
- Backed by a 7-year compressor warranty, a 5-year parts warranty, and a Limited Lifetime Replacement warranty with enrollment in the MRCOOL® Care Program.
Details
Avermont Direct is an authorized MRCOOL dealer, and this 3-zone DIY system is built for homeowners adding independent heating and cooling to three rooms — bedrooms, home offices, or an addition, for example — without opening walls for ductwork or scheduling a professional HVAC install. The condenser is backed by a 7-year compressor warranty and a 5-year parts warranty, with a Limited Lifetime Replacement warranty available through enrollment in the MRCOOL® Care Program. Each ceiling cassette air handler connects to the condenser through a pre-charged Quick Connect® line set, so once the lines are run and connected the system is ready to use without additional refrigerant handling.
