Description
The Crystal Quest Salt-Free Water Conditioner converts calcium hardness into nanometer-size calcite crystals that are rinsed away, so it uses no salt and produces no backwash wastewater. It treats water for the whole house through four stages, starting with sediment filtration and ending with a 0.2-micron ultrafiltration membrane.
Highlights
- Salt-free scale control: no salt to add and no backwash wastewater
- Helps remove existing calcium scale from pipes and heat exchanger surfaces and limits future scale formation
- Four stages: sediment cartridge, Eagle Anti-Scale media, solid carbon cartridge, and 0.2-micron UF membrane
- Choose 1.5 or 2.0 cubic feet of anti-scale media
- Fiberglass or stainless steel tank options

- Water hardness of 25 gpg or higher may require pretreatment or additional media; some hard waters need dosing for permanent hardness
- After old deposits are removed, a 30 to 80 micron corrosion-preventing layer forms on surfaces
- Replacement items: sediment cartridge (CQE-RC-04015), carbon cartridge (CQE-RC-04014), UF membrane (CQE-RC-04056), Eaglesorb Anti-Scale media sold per liter (CQE-RM-05013)
- Stainless steel tanks can pit or rust in high humidity, around salt, or if condensation is left on the surface; fiberglass is recommended in these conditions
- Optional add-ons offered separately: 12 GPM UV water sterilizer, leak detector valve, vacuum breaker
