Description
Iron and manganese are common in well water and can cause rust-brown stains, black specks, bitter taste, and deposits in pipes and water heaters, while hydrogen sulfide brings a rotten egg odor. The Crystal Quest Metal Removal Whole House Water Filter uses a mineral tank to reduce all three at the point of entry, with a 20" sediment prefilter and a 20" carbon block post-filter.

- ERA 6500 and 9500 media are added to the metal removal tank to prevent bacteria growth in the media
- Optional SMART filter: coconut shell and catalytic GAC, Eagle Redox Alloys 6500 and 9500, anion exchange resin, and ceramic and tourmaline balls for chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, and petroleum by-products
- Optional softener: ion exchange resin with a brine conditioner for calcium and magnesium hardness
- Replacement items: Metal Removal Multimedia (CQE-RM-05010), SMART Multimedia (CQE-RM-05017), Eaglesorb softener resin (CQE-RM-05002), sediment cartridge (CQE-RC-04015), carbon block cartridge (CQE-RC-04014)
- A vacuum breaker is recommended inline ahead of the system to guard against negative pressure
- Stainless steel tanks can pinhole or rust in high humidity, around salt, or if condensation is left on the surface; fiberglass is recommended in those conditions
Shipping
- Orders of $200 or more ship free within the contiguous United States. Orders under $200 ship for a flat $9.99.
- In-stock items (shown as “In Stock” on the product page) ordered before 1:00 PM Pacific Time on a business day typically ship within 1–3 business days. Delivery usually takes 3–7 business days after shipping.
- Backorder, Partial Backorder and Custom Order items are not covered by the 1–3 business day processing time. Their estimated restock or ship time is shown in the stock status on the product page before you order.
- Large items ship by freight and are typically delivered curbside. Smaller items ship by ground carrier such as FedEx or UPS.
- We ship to the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or P.O. boxes.
- Please inspect your delivery on arrival and report any concealed damage or missing parts within 24 hours.
Returns
- Returns can be requested within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, uninstalled, in new resalable condition and in their original packaging, including the pallet if delivered on one.
- Approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is the result of our error.
- Installed or used products, custom and made-to-order items, clearance or final-sale items, and replacement parts and accessories are not eligible for return.
