Description
Blue-green stains in sinks or tubs and pinhole leaks in copper pipes are common signs of corrosive water. The Crystal Quest Corrosion Check Test is a mail-in kit that has National Testing Laboratories measure lead and copper in both first-draw and flushed samples, along with the water characteristics that drive corrosion.
Highlights
- Lead and copper measured in first-draw and flush samples to show what comes from household plumbing
- Corrosivity reported as the Langelier saturation index
- Includes pH, alkalinity, hardness, chloride, sulfate and TDS
- Calcium and manganese are also measured
- Results reported using EPA standards
Details
Avermont Direct is an authorized Crystal Quest dealer. Comparing first-draw and flushed samples helps show whether lead or copper is coming from the water supply or from pipes and fixtures inside the building. Use the results to choose a treatment approach that fits your water and plumbing.
