Description
The Crystal Quest Coconut Based Carbon Block Filter Cartridge is a solid block of acid-washed coconut shell activated carbon rated at 5 microns. It reduces chlorine taste and odor, VOCs and fine sediment, and comes in four sizes for standard and Big Blue housings.

Details
Avermont Direct is an authorized Crystal Quest dealer. In Crystal Quest double cartridge systems this cartridge is the first stage ahead of SMART, and in triple cartridge systems it is the last stage after sediment and SMART. It is also used as a pre-filter in Thunder under-sink RO and whole house RO systems.

- Activated carbon also reduces some pesticides, herbicides and disinfection byproducts such as THMs; these are not separately tested for this cartridge
- Reduces chloramine less effectively than catalytic carbon; pair with a SMART cartridge on chloraminated water
- Not designed to treat hardness, fluoride, nitrate, TDS, lead or other heavy metals; use only on microbiologically safe water
- Run water 5 to 10 minutes before first use; the first water may look gray from fine carbon and clears after flushing
- Replace sooner if you notice changes in taste, odor, flow or pressure

- Orders of $200 or more ship free within the contiguous United States. Orders under $200 ship for a flat $9.99.
- In-stock items (shown as “In Stock” on the product page) ordered before 1:00 PM Pacific Time on a business day typically ship within 1–3 business days. Delivery usually takes 3–7 business days after shipping.
- Backorder, Partial Backorder and Custom Order items are not covered by the 1–3 business day processing time. Their estimated restock or ship time is shown in the stock status on the product page before you order.
- Large items ship by freight and are typically delivered curbside. Smaller items ship by ground carrier such as FedEx or UPS.
- We ship to the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or P.O. boxes.
- Please inspect your delivery on arrival and report any concealed damage or missing parts within 24 hours.
Returns
- Returns can be requested within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, uninstalled, in new resalable condition and in their original packaging, including the pallet if delivered on one.
- Approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is the result of our error.
- Installed or used products, custom and made-to-order items, clearance or final-sale items, and replacement parts and accessories are not eligible for return.
