Description
The Crystal Quest Cation Resin Filter Cartridge softens water inside a standard filter housing, using sodium-form cation exchange resin to capture calcium and magnesium. No tank, brine or drain line is needed, and capacity ranges from 805 to 5,200 grains depending on size.

Details
Avermont Direct is an authorized Crystal Quest dealer. The 2-7/8" x 9-3/4" size suits countertop and under-sink systems, while the 20" and Big Blue sizes suit whole house cartridge systems on moderately hard water. Actual cartridge life depends on incoming hardness and how much water you use.

- To estimate gallons, divide the grain rating by your hardness in grains per gallon (17.1 ppm = 1 grain per gallon); for example, the 805-grain size treats about 80 gallons at 10 grains per gallon
- Treated water gains sodium, and the amount increases with water hardness
- Not designed to remove bacteria, viruses, chlorine, chemical tastes, lead or other heavy metals, fluoride, nitrate or arsenic; pair with a carbon or SMART stage for broader filtration
- Use only on microbiologically safe water
- Do not use tank-softener or other cartridge regeneration procedures on this cartridge
Shipping
- Orders of $200 or more ship free within the contiguous United States. Orders under $200 ship for a flat $9.99.
- In-stock items (shown as “In Stock” on the product page) ordered before 1:00 PM Pacific Time on a business day typically ship within 1–3 business days. Delivery usually takes 3–7 business days after shipping.
- Backorder, Partial Backorder and Custom Order items are not covered by the 1–3 business day processing time. Their estimated restock or ship time is shown in the stock status on the product page before you order.
- Large items ship by freight and are typically delivered curbside. Smaller items ship by ground carrier such as FedEx or UPS.
- We ship to the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or P.O. boxes.
- Please inspect your delivery on arrival and report any concealed damage or missing parts within 24 hours.
Returns
- Returns can be requested within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, uninstalled, in new resalable condition and in their original packaging, including the pallet if delivered on one.
- Approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is the result of our error.
- Installed or used products, custom and made-to-order items, clearance or final-sale items, and replacement parts and accessories are not eligible for return.
